48 | Moai Milkyway | Rapa Nui

Rapa Nui Island is more than 3000km away from any civilization. This also means that there is virtually no light pollution on this island. Perfect conditions  for astrophotography. Even as a small one  Child I found out about these fascinating sculptures through a well-known game called Super Mario. I knew when  i will see this in real life. Now the time had come, I set myself the goal of photographing the most famous Moai's with the Milky Way. This required a lot of planning and a long journey but it was definitely worth it for the result!
